Thank you

Thank you to all the parents and students who helped with the bake sale for Mr. Eric. We raised $1300. The students had fun participating in such a great cause. They were also very helpful with the younger students in the school. They helped them pick out items and make change. Thanks for all your contributions.

Letter sent home to juniors

Thursday, September 27th, 2018

Dear Parent/Guardians,

This letter is in response to the unfortunate weather events that occurred in Ottawa, Dunrobin, and Gatineau last Friday. Our former head custodian Eric Guenther was directly affected by this event. He lost everything; his home and all belongings in Dunrobin. Any remaining items have been damaged by the rain.

We will be holding a bake sale on Wednesday, October 3rd to help support Eric. All the proceeds will go directly to him. We are asking all junior students from Grades 4 to 6  to bring in baked goods to sell. All of the baked goods should be nut free and individually wrapped for sale. If items are gluten free, please label them as such. All items will be sold for 50 cents to $1 a piece. Appropriate baked goods would be cookies, cupcakes, squares, banana bread etc. Anything that can be individually wrapped for sale. We will not have time to slice cake for individual sale.

Ms. Kalil’s (Grade 5 & 4/5)  and Mrs.Moss’s (Grade 5 & 5/6)  classes will be running the bake sale on that day. Students will be given responsibilities such as selling items, collecting money, counting money and helping retrieve classes for the sale. All students in the school from Kindergarten to Grade 6 will have a designated time to come to the gym to purchase some items.

If you will be able to help out with this initiative, can you please indicate below if you will be able to send something in. Please specify what baked goods you will send, so that we can get an idea of how much we will have for sale that day.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Ms Kalil and Mrs. Moss
